Later that night, we got VIP section to see 21 Savage, Normani, and The Chainsmokers up front. As well as guest speaker and NBA all star, Blake Griffin! 21 Savage is also a Dreamer like me, so seeing him in person and free was incredible since he was detained by ICE not too long ago. I was hoping to give him a sticker, but security was a little bit too strict, so next time will be the lucky charm!

The second day, it was my turn. I went up went on stage and I shared the story of my parents, my immigration story and navigating the education system as a Dreamer, and why I founded Aliento! I will admit I was a little nervous and my hands were a little sweaty but I’m glad I could share my journey of healing with many entrepreneurs + investors! Later that day, we had a visit from Serena Williams. She was making the crowd go wild! Loved hearing the stories of her daughter, it was such a precious moment for me and Diego to witness her strength and humility! I can still hear her voice saying, “If I’m going to be the boss, I’m going to make sure I support people that look like me.” This is one of the main reasons why I founded Aliento! I wanted to make sure other children & youth saw that is possible for us to lead too!

I want to thank everyone who sent me kind messages while I was at the summit! I received a lot of love and felt seen!
