Cultiva Art and healing Program

Cultiva

Through our Cultiva Program, we offer arts and healing workshops, open mics, support groups and more. We want to ensure that the migrant community has a space to feel welcome and safe to share their experiences.

Our Cultiva program is intended for different age groups for people who are undocumented, DACAmented, or are part of mixed status family.

Arts + Healing Workshops

We offer art + healing workshops for those who have been impacted by deportation, detention, or the threat of family separation.

Our workshops are intergenerational— for children (7 years+) AND adults who self-identify as undocumented, DACA, Dreamer, immigrant, migrant, or children of immigrants (from mixed-status families). They are also bilingual (English and Spanish) so folks can speak whichever language they feel the most comfortable in. It is a space for us to reflect, create together and build community as we heal through art. It is a space for us to be ourselves as creators and artists who are complex, emotional, vulnerable, and stronger together.

It is free of charge and we accept voluntary donations. We host our workshops in the Mesa, Phoenix, virtual, and in schools.

Aliento Open Mics

Every First Friday, we host an open mic for the community where we explore migration from an intersectionality lens. This is a welcoming space where we can be whole, feel safe, and be in community.

This is intended for everyone, including those who want to learn more from the lived experiences of the immigrant community, allies and the general public are welcomed.

Aliento Art Gallery

At the end of our Arts + Healing workshop season, we host an exhibition celebrating the work of our participants!
