Reyna Montoya Awarded Woman Of The Year By Valley Leadership

Last night, our Founder and CEO, Reyna Montoya was awarded the 73rd Woman of The Year by Valley Leadership!

Reyna along with Dr. Chad Geston, Superintendent of the Phoenix Union High School District, was recognized as Valley woman and man of the year because of their vision, innovation, memorable impact on the lives of others, and their service to the community.

Reyna’s positive impact on Arizona’s community can be seen in the passing of Prop. 308, which allows dreamers and undocumented high school students to pay in-state tuition for public universities. Since 2017, Reyna has worked with lawmakers, students, and allies to pass Prop. 308 and provide educational equity to dreamers and undocumented students.

The passing of Prop. 308 is historic and momentous, but it was just the first step towards education equity in Arizona. The next step is implementation. With your donation, we plan on holding training sessions for educators, students, and academic leaders across the valley.
