Our founder + CEO, Reyna Montoya, was named Valley Leadership’s 73rd Woman Of The Year!

Dr. Chad Gestson, Superintendent of the Phoenix Union High School District, was also named 73rd Man of the Year!

Each year an outstanding Valley man and woman are selected by Valley Leadership based on their vision, innovation, measurable impact on the lives of others, and their extraordinary service to our community. Valley Leadership is the oldest and largest leadership development organization in greater Phoenix.

Message from Reyna:
I am deeply humbled for sharing this recognition with Dr. Chad Gestson by Valley Leadership. No one accomplishes anything alone, I am a deep believer that it takes a village for us to make an impact in our communities. This recognition is not only mine but is an award to all our children and youth. Know you are enough, you are worthy of love no matter where you were born. Your dreams, your education, and your hopes for the future are possible.

This award goes to my mom and dad who despite so much trauma raised my siblings and I with love and always reminded us that our dreams could be delayed but never forgotten. Your dreams are mine and my accomplishments are yours.

Thank you to everyone who has believed in our mission of transforming trauma into hope & action. Big shoutout to our mighty team at Aliento AZ who has ensured that we nurture human potential regardless of immigration status.

To all Arizona voters; you have a unique opportunity to see what happens when you extend opportunities to Dreamers - I hope you are touched and considered voting on Prop. 308- In-state Tuition for Dreamers. You have a unique opportunity this NOV 8th!
